Workshops at the V&A Museum

We are delighted to be teaching two Workshops at the V&A this summer.

We will be teaching a Workshop for the Balenciaga exhibition at the V&A Summer School on 20 - 21 July.  Inspired by Balenciaga, this practical workshop will give students an Introduction to Metalwork Embroidery, Stumpwork and Beading - embroidery techniques used in the fashion industry and particularly in haute-couture.

Students will learn how to: apply Pearl Purl and to transform them into 3D petals; create wired shapes; apply beads and sequins, then combine these together to make this stunning flower brooch (image left). Click here to book

We will also be at the V&A as part of their Create Workshops for 16-19 year olds on 3 August.  Students will be able to create their own contemporary embroidery design using the V&A collections as inspiration.   Click here for more information and to book.
