Tutors: Debra Jackson

Debra completed her Apprenticeship in 1981 and has enjoyed a varied career in hand embroidery, including teaching a variety of techniques for the RSN and across Norfolk and Essex. She is currently an external assessor for the RSN.

Debra was part of the team that moved the RSN from Princes Gate to Hampton Court Palace in 1987, where she became co-ordinator of the then Apprenticeship and worked in the Studio on a wide variety of commissions, including a number of embroidered gifts for the Royal Family.

Debra also co-authored the Royal School of Needlework Embroidery Techniques book by Batsford.

Debra particularly enjoys the fine attention to detail and specialises in Both Sides Alike (Regimental) embroidery, Miniature embroidery and Gold and Silkwork.
