Tutors: Jen Goodwin

Jen graduated from the RSN Apprenticeship and now teaches on the RSN Certificate & Diploma and Day Classes. Jen focuses on mixing traditional techniques with modern designs to create unique embroidered pieces along with creating highly embellished wearable textile pieces, including jewellery. In 2011 Jen was one of the stitchers responsible for embroidering the Duchess of Cambridge’s memorable wedding dress.

2017 sees Jen’s first solo exhibition, being held at the National Needlework Archive, the Old Chapel Textile Centre in Newbury. The exhibition will show a range of Jen’s detailed embroidered pieces; including Goldwork and Silk Shaded animals along with sketch books and working notes to show how pieces have evolved over time.
