Class Date: Sunday 21 January 2018

You'll learn the basic technique of the Tambour Stitch: how to hold the hook, how to start and finish the thread, form the stitch using the special Tambour hook and work it in all directions. We'll consider the special requirements of designing for Tambour Work, looking at some historical examples. Choose from a range of designs to stitch, embellishing it with spot beads.

No previous experience is required. Tambour hooks can be borrowed or bought on the day. Your kit will include fabric, thread, beads and worksheets.

The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.

This class will run from 10am-4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU
