This course has already taken place.

Developing Jacobean is suitable for anyone who has embroidered in recent years or has attended either an Introduction to Embroidery or Introduction to Jacobean day class. This course will use a more complex design allowing a wider range of stitches to be used to extend your knowledge. More advanced stitches such as trellis work with patterns, long and short shading and stitches that create textures and the richness that is associated with Jacobean. Working on traditional linen twill using Appleton crewel wools. This is an excellent class to build on confidence and enable you to go on to try some of the other many classes the school has to offer.

The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.

This class will run from 10am- 4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey. KT8 9AU
