This 2 day class covers lots of the traditional stitches used in Crewelwork but combines wool and stranded cottons to explore varying depth and variety of sheen in the piece of work. Stitches will include Trellis, Laid, Satin, Buttonhole, Long and short stitch, Whipped and Woven wheels, French knots and Bullions, Seeding and Fishbone stitch. Suitable for those with some stitching experience.

The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.

This class will run from 10am- 4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey. KT8 9AU

Jacobean Crewelwork
Crewelwork is an ideal technique 
for anyone new to embroidery. Introducing a range of stitches and an element of shading, this technique can be used for traditional and contemporary designs.
