This course has already taken place.

Learn traditional stumpwork embroidery with this retro flower design.  Experience traditional materials with various threads and wires on a printed cotton fabric.  This is an introduction class covering key techniques including three-dimensional wire work, raised leaf stitch, picots, wrapped wire, a ‘slip’ embroidered with French knots and buttonhole bar scallops.  All the stitches in the kit will be covered in the class, with a chance to practice at home.

The tutor will demonstrate to the group, and also give plenty of individual attention to each student allowing you to develop your embroidery skills. The class is suitable for beginners or stitchers who need a refresher.

The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.

Please note that the kit has been designed and produced by RSN Tutor Lizzy Pye.

This class will run from 10am- 4pm at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey. KT8 9AU
