Goldwork
For over 1000 years English goldwork embroidery has been celebrated as a symbol of wealth and luxury. The RSN is renowned for teaching goldwork used in religious embroidery and for livery and royal commissions. Goldwork can be imaginatively combined with other techniques and contemporary application results in amazing designs for fashion and interiors.
Although known as “goldwork” metal threads of all kinds including gilt, copper and silver are used to produce sumptuous effects.
