What our courses can offer you!

Why come on our embroidery courses?

Take a look at our Day Classes – these run at weekends and during the Easter and summer holidays. We welcome beginners and cater for all other levels of experience with classes that will advance your skills. Courses can be one day, two day or three day and run from 10am to 4pm. Starting at £69 with an additional cost for kits/materials.  You may find after one course you’ve become ‘hooked’ on embroidery and want to sign up for courses in other techniques!

Who would benefit from our courses? You, if you are

• Already working with embroidery? Why not become skilled at specific techniques and be taught to a professional standard
• Contributing to a community embroidery project – learn a range of skills and techniques
• Volunteering in a local group of embroiderers – become skilled at a specific technique (for example goldwork is used in often used in church vestments and altar frontals)
• Looking your holiday or time off – why not plan your free time around one of our courses? (we have students from all over the world who come and study with us for up to two weeks on a holiday break for either summer courses or on the Certificate course)
• Our Certificate and Diploma course is perfect if you want to learn embroidery techniques in depth.  We have very flexible attendance options and you can join at anytime of the year.  You don’t need to have any previous embroidery experience for these courses.  If you’re considering embroidery as a career take a look at our two year Degree Programmes in Hand Embroidery.

Who comes to our courses?
Current students range in age from 19 to 83, men as well as women and from all over the world. You’ll be made to feel very welcome, be taught by RSN qualified tutors and you’ll all have one thing in common, an interest in stitch.
