Introduction to Canvas Stitches

Sometimes erroneously referred to as "tapestry" the use of wool on canvas was traditionally used for hard-wearing seat covers and rugs. However, using different textures of thread, including metals, and a variety of stitches gives canvaswork a new dimension of depth and movement. Canvas Shading will teach you how to blend the colours in the design for a realistic effect. Canvas Stitches will introduce you to a range of stitches and threads.
